Insight opens the door to change.
Understanding your patterns, beliefs and emotional responses gives you a new perspective on yourself.
Oh hi there, you've found me!
Now before we begin, I just want to say that I know you're a smart cookie. (I'm a smartie magnet!)
So I already know that you've read the books, listened to the podcasts, done the self-reflection and become remarkably good at describing your own behaviour.
You know why you overthink. You understand where the anxiety comes from. You can even recognise your patterns as they're happening.
And yet, something in you keeps responding in the same familiar way.
It's frustrating, isn't it?
Here's something important I've learned through years of being a therapist...
And here's what I've come to understand about meaningful, lasting change.
Now, maybe you've already tried all three.
Perhaps you've even reached the point of saying, "I've tried everything!"
But here's a thought.
What if the missing ingredient isn't another technique, another breakthrough or another piece of information?
What if it's experiencing all three together, with someone who's genuinely attuned to you?
Someone who helps you understand what's happening, supports you through the emotional work and helps you translate those changes into everyday life.
That's where my approach to online hypnotherapy comes in.
I'm Sally Garozzo, an award-winning clinical hypnotherapist and transformational coach (since 2017) based in Brighton, UK.
I combine clinical hypnosis with trauma-informed, evidence-informed psychological approaches to help people create meaningful change.
And we can do this work together online.
Book your free connection callAnd believe me, I've met some spectacular thinkers.
People who can explain their attachment patterns, identify their triggers, describe their childhood adaptations and analyse their emotional responses with extraordinary precision.
But understanding why something happens doesn't automatically change what happens next.
You can understand why you seek approval and still find yourself saying yes when you desperately want to say no.
You can recognise that you're safe and still experience anxiety.
You can know that you're capable and still feel paralysed by the possibility of getting something wrong.
Why?
Because our responses are shaped by more than conscious reasoning.
Our emotional learning, bodily responses, established habits, personal history and current circumstances all influence how we experience the world.
And much of this learning happens through experience rather than deliberate thought.
So although insight is incredibly valuable, sometimes we need to engage with ourselves in a different way.
We need experiences that give us opportunities to feel differently, respond differently and gradually build confidence in those new responses.
This is where deeper therapeutic processes, including hypnosis, can be helpful.
Before we attempt to change something, I want to understand it with you.
We'll explore the difficulties you're experiencing, the circumstances surrounding them and the beliefs or patterns that may be contributing.
And we'll consider your whole life.
Your biology, relationships, current stresses, emotional history and the ways you've learned to navigate the world.
Sometimes our patterns develop in response to significant adversity.
Sometimes they emerge from ordinary family dynamics, social expectations or the subtle ways we learned who we needed to be to belong.
Perhaps you became the capable one, the peacekeeper or the person who never needed anybody.
There may have been perfectly understandable reasons for these adaptations.
The interesting question is whether they're still serving you today.
Insight helps us recognise the lens through which we've been experiencing ourselves and our lives.
And once we can see the lens, we have more opportunity to question it.
Now things get interesting.
Because knowing something intellectually and experiencing it emotionally can feel like two completely different realities.
You might understand that you deserve to be heard yet feel terrified of speaking up.
You might believe you are worthy of love yet find yourself constantly trying to earn it.
This is where we may use clinical hypnosis, imagery, emotional processing, inner-child work or other experiential approaches.
These methods can help us explore established emotional responses, connect with previously unacknowledged needs and develop new ways of relating to ourselves.
Sometimes this involves revisiting earlier experiences. Sometimes it doesn't.
The intention is always to work collaboratively, at an appropriate pace, with your readiness and autonomy at the centre.
And here's something I think is particularly important.
Emotional transformation isn't necessarily about having a dramatic breakthrough.
Sometimes it's a quiet shift.
A moment of understanding accompanied by self-compassion.
A previously threatening situation beginning to feel more manageable.
Or the discovery that you can remain connected to yourself even while experiencing difficult emotions.
These experiences can become the foundations for meaningful change.
Now for the part that often gets overlooked.
Real life.
Because it's one thing to experience a shift during a therapy session.
It's another thing entirely to respond differently when your partner presses that familiar button, your boss asks for another favour or your mind starts rehearsing everything that could possibly go wrong.
This is where we make the therapeutic work practical.
We might introduce behavioural experiments, mindset techniques, emotional regulation skills or structured ways of practising new responses.
We'll pay attention to the moments in which old patterns are most likely to reappear.
And rather than treating those moments as failures, we can use them as valuable information.
What happened?
What did you notice?
What might you try differently next time?
Over time, repeated practice can help new responses become more familiar and accessible.
Because the aim isn't to become brilliant at therapy. It's to become more free in your everyday life.
Attunement.
This is something I care deeply about.
You can have access to the most sophisticated therapeutic techniques in the world, but the relationship in which those techniques are delivered matters.
I don't want to simply take you through a process.
I want to understand how you're experiencing that process.
What feels helpful? What feels overwhelming? What makes sense intellectually but hasn't quite landed emotionally?
What happens when you feel encouraged? What happens when you feel misunderstood?
And how can we adapt our work to meet you where you actually are?
Attunement doesn't mean I will always get everything right.
It means paying attention, listening carefully, remaining curious and being willing to adjust.
Sometimes you might need space to explore.
Sometimes you might benefit from a gentle challenge.
And sometimes the most useful thing we can do is recognise that you're trying very hard to make something happen and discover what changes when you stop forcing it.
For me, effective therapy is something we create together, rather than something I do to you.
I bring my professional knowledge, my presence, experience and therapeutic skills.
You bring your lived experience, your own understanding and your capacity to participate in change.
And together, we work towards something that feels meaningful to you.
The tools should serve the work. Your experience shouldn't have to fit the tools.
I'm glad you asked.
Hypnosis is a state of focused attention in which we can engage with imagination, responsiveness, emotional experience and new perspectives in a particularly absorbing way.
It can be a useful tool for exploring and rehearsing different responses, just like an actor trying on different characters.
And despite what you might have seen on television, hypnosis isn't about someone taking control of your mind.
You remain aware and retain the ability to communicate, make choices and stop the process.
You also don't need to be particularly good at visualising.
Some people experience vivid imagery. Others connect more readily with sensations, words, emotions or simple shifts in attention.
We work with your individual way of experiencing things.
In my practice, hypnosis is part of a wider therapeutic approach.
Depending on your needs, I may use Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), other hypnotic methods, cognitive and behavioural approaches or experiential psychological techniques.
The evidence for hypnosis varies across different presenting problems, so we'll consider whether it's appropriate for what you'd like help with.
The goal is to choose the tools that serve the work, rather than make your experience fit the tools.
People come to me with a wide range of experiences.
Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm or persistent overthinking.
Maybe you're experiencing difficulties with self-worth, relationship patterns or habits that feel frustratingly difficult to change.
Or perhaps you're facing a significant life transition, such as menopause, and beginning to question aspects of your identity, relationships or direction in life.
I also work with more specific presenting difficulties, including certain fears, phobias and unwanted behavioural patterns, where hypnotherapy is appropriate.
But here's what I want you to know.
You don't have to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.
Sometimes people come to therapy because they're struggling.
Sometimes they come because they've reached a point in life where they want to understand themselves more deeply.
And sometimes they simply have a growing sense that something needs to change.
All of these can be valid starting points for a conversation.
Deep therapeutic work. Space to be yourself.
One of the things I love about working online is that it gives us the opportunity to connect without geography being the deciding factor.
You don't need to arrange travel, sit in traffic or spend half your day getting to an appointment.
You can work with me from a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable.
We meet through video, giving us room for conversation, therapeutic exploration and hypnosis where appropriate.
And yes, meaningful therapeutic relationships can develop online.
It's an approach that can offer flexibility, consistency and the opportunity to work with someone whose way of thinking genuinely resonates with you.
I welcome enquiries from across the UK and internationally.
All you'll need is a reliable internet connection, a private space where you won't be interrupted and a willingness to participate in the process.
The tea is optional. Personally, I'm rather partial to a cup.
International bookings are subject to location-specific professional requirements.
If you'd prefer to watch rather than read for a moment, here's a video I've shared.
Press play whenever you're ready.
I believe you deserve to understand what we're doing and why we're doing it.
That's why I offer a structured therapeutic pathway rather than promising a miraculous transformation after a single session.

Follow-up support | As needed
This is where we help the work become part of your life.
Depending on your needs, we may schedule follow-up sessions to support emotional integration, behavioural practice, self-regulation and the development of new skills.
We'll continually review what's changing, what feels difficult and what might need adjusting.
Because meaningful therapy isn't about completing a process and then forgetting about it. It's about how that process supports you beyond the therapy room.
Book your free connection callHello again. I'm Sally.
I'm a clinical hypnotherapist, transformational coach, podcast host and endlessly curious student of human behaviour.
I've spent years exploring what helps people change, and what sometimes keeps us repeating the very patterns we understand so well.
I'm particularly interested in the relationship between psychology, personal history, identity, biology and the nervous system.
I host The Menopause Mindset podcast, and my wider work explores how our experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the possibilities available to us.
I love depth. I love good questions. And I love those moments when something that once felt complicated begins to make a little more sense.
I also think therapy can be serious without being solemn.
My approach is warm, curious, collaborative and occasionally quite humorous.
Oh and another thing, I don't want you to become dependent on me having the answers.
I'd much rather help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, greater confidence in your own judgement and more freedom to choose how you want to live.
After all, it's your life. You're the one who gets to live it.
For many people, online therapy can be an effective option. Research supports online delivery of a range of therapeutic approaches, although suitability and outcomes depend on the person, the presenting difficulty and the treatment used. We'll check that online hypnotherapy is appropriate for you before we begin.
Only where it's relevant, appropriate and something you feel comfortable exploring.
Early experiences can shape our responses, but this doesn't mean all difficulties originate in childhood or that everyone needs to revisit painful memories.
Then we'll be curious about what you've tried, what helped, what didn't and what might have been missing.
Previous therapy can give us valuable information.
And if you've already developed considerable self-awareness, we can build on it rather than beginning from scratch.
No particular belief is required.
We'll discuss what hypnosis involves, address any concerns and explore whether it's a suitable approach for you.
Your willingness to collaborate matters much more than having a particular expectation about what hypnosis should feel like.
Yes! I work with English-speaking clients in the UK and internationally, offering sessions online from my practice in Brighton, England.
Because professional regulations vary between countries, I'll confirm that my services are available in your location before we begin.
Some countries and US states have specific regulations around hypnotherapy and psychological treatments.
During your initial enquiry, I'll ask where you'll be physically located during our sessions so we can establish whether we're able to work together.
Absolutely, where clinically appropriate.
Hypnotherapy can complement other forms of healthcare and psychological support. If you're already receiving treatment for a diagnosed condition, we'll explore how hypnotherapy might fit into your existing care and whether collaboration with your treating professional would be beneficial.
You've spent time understanding yourself.
You've gathered knowledge, developed insights and probably made more progress than you sometimes give yourself credit for.
But maybe you're ready for something more than another explanation.
Perhaps you're ready to explore the magic of what happens when understanding, emotional transformation and everyday practice begin working in synergy with one another.
When you're able to respond to familiar situations with more choice.
When your needs and values begin to feel more connected to the way you're living.
When you can experience uncertainty without automatically abandoning yourself.
My aim is to help you experience yourself as more integrated and aligned, develop a deeper sense of safety as you move through the world, and embrace uncertainty with greater self-trust.
And I'd love to explore what that might look like for you.
Let's start with a conversation.
