Hello, I'm Sally. It's lovely to meet you.
An individual approach

Whatever has brought you here, that's where we'll begin.

I'm Sally Garozzo, an experienced, award-winning clinical hypnotherapist based in Brighton. I work with people from Hove and beyond, combining clinical hypnotherapy, Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) and psychological, evidence-based techniques to help create meaningful change.

Looking beneath the surface

Understanding what's happening beneath the surface.

Our difficulties rarely exist in isolation.

The way we think, feel, behave and relate to others can be influenced by our biology, our present circumstances, our relationships and the experiences that have shaped us.

Sometimes these influences include trauma or less than ideal childhood experiences. Sometimes they're connected to the subtler ways we learned to adapt, gain approval, maintain relationships, fulfil expectations or find our place in the world.

We can carry these patterns into adulthood without necessarily recognising how they're affecting us.

My approach to hypnotherapy considers both the problem you're experiencing today and the wider context of your life.

This gives us an incredible opportunity to explore what may be contributing to your difficulties and what might help you move forward.

Ways we can work together

What can hypnotherapy help with?

People seek hypnotherapy for many different reasons.

You might want support with anxiety, chronic stress or persistent overthinking. Perhaps you're struggling with confidence, relationship patterns, emotional eating or habits that feel difficult to change.

Maybe it's something specific like misophonia or agoraphobia.

Or you may be navigating menopause, a significant life transition or a period in which your sense of identity is changing.

  • 01 /Anxiety, stress & overthinking
  • 02 /Confidence & self-worth
  • 03 /Relationships & attachment
  • 04 /Emotional eating & habits
  • 05 /Misophonia & agoraphobia
  • 06 /Menopause & life transitions

Sometimes you know exactly what you want to work on. Sometimes you simply recognise that something in your life isn't feeling right. We can begin from either place.

My therapeutic philosophy

Reconnection first. Repatterning where needed.

I believe meaningful change often begins with developing a deeper understanding of ourselves.

Rather than immediately trying to eliminate an uncomfortable feeling or behaviour, we can become curious about its function, how it developed and what might now be needed.

Through our sessions together, we can explore emotional responses, long-standing beliefs and the ways you've learned to relate to yourself and the world.

This can create opportunities for greater self-awareness, emotional flexibility and a more integrated sense of self.

Where particular symptoms, habits or reactions continue to cause difficulties, I also draw on structured cognitive, behavioural and hypnotic techniques to help you develop different responses.

My aim is to help you feel more integrated and aligned within yourself, develop a deeper sense of safety as you move through the world, and embrace uncertainty with greater self-trust.

Understanding hypnosis

How does hypnotherapy work?

Your experience, your choices

You remain aware of what's happening and retain control throughout.

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention that can make it easier to engage with your imagination, emotional experiences and new perspectives.

In my practice, hypnosis is one part of a wider therapeutic process. Depending on your needs, our sessions might involve exploring emotional patterns, working with beliefs, developing practical coping skills or using Rapid Transformational Therapy.

You don't need to be good at visualising, and you won't be required to revisit painful memories.

We work collaboratively, using approaches that are appropriate for you.

Your Personalised Therapy Plan

There is no fixed formula and no expectation that everyone needs the same treatment.

Let's have a conversation
A little more clarity

Frequently asked questions.

It's always okay to have questions before getting started.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No. Clinical hypnosis is a collaborative experience. You'll remain aware, be able to communicate and can pause or stop the process at any time.

Will we need to explore my childhood?

Only where it's relevant, appropriate and something you're comfortable with. Early experiences can influence our patterns, but meaningful therapeutic work doesn't always require revisiting the past.

How many hypnotherapy sessions will I need?

That depends on what you're experiencing and what you'd like to achieve. Some people notice changes relatively quickly, while others benefit from a longer period of work and integration. We'll discuss an appropriate plan following your assessment.

Take the first step

Ready to explore what's possible?

You don't need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.

If you're looking for hypnotherapy in Hove, I'd be delighted to have a conversation about what you're experiencing and how we might work together.
