I had the great pleasure in interviewing the wonderful Rachel Collins. She has a wealth of knowledge for everyone about how food affects our total wellbeing and why, if we want to cure anxiety, we really need to be taking a close look at our diets.
We covered: gluten, sugar, testing, supplements, bio individuality and gut health. My biggest takeaway was that some of the good bacteria in your gut (which are easily destroyed by sugar) actually produce the feel good hormone seratonin. So if you want to be in a good mood, take care of your gut health. I also learn that fasting in between meals is better than snacking for gut health reasons.
